KEITH’S STORY
I began my love affair with filmmaking when I was 11 years old and recorded my first moving images with my buddies. Creating and watching those films is a rush I still enjoy just as much today. Eventually, I headed to Columbia College Chicago to study Film Production with a concentration in Cinematography. During school I was able to work on several major motion pictures, national commercials, live sporting events, and even landed a highly-coveted internship at CBS Studios in Los Angeles.
Upon graduation, it became clear that production work in Chicago was inconsistent so I decided to make my own opportunity. This is was when Poetic Productions was born.
My passions have grown since I was a young boy and I have an even bigger love these days as a husband to Jeanette, and father to Payton & Caleb. Being able to live my dream of being a professional cinematographer while providing for my family is a pleasure beyond words.
When I am not capturing life’s greatest moments or playing with my kids you can find me kicking back with a rare craft beer or a piping hot cup of coffee while chatting up a friend. I enjoy listening to people as much as I enjoy telling stories. I would love the opportunity to meet you and tell yours.
Best, Keith
JEANETTE’S STORY
My journey into corporate & event videography began in high school where my love of PHOTOGRAPHY was born. I instantly fell in love with capturing memories to be enjoyed for a lifetime while photographing for the school’s yearbook.
In college, my photography focused more into fine art, and my Senior year I went on to win Prairie State College’s prestigious “Photographer of the Year Award” in 2002. After graduating from with a B.A. in photography, I quickly entered the photography business world working at Prestige Portraits – Lifetouch, capturing both senior portraits and corporate headshots.
In 2008, I took a break from the corporate arena of photography to start our family, and begin my own entrepreneur journey with my resale business, Listed inc, which thrives today. My love of photography did not fade however, and I entered into the event industry working for several wedding photography companies to nurture my creative need and continue to support our family.
In 2010, Keith and I discussed exploring the idea of taking my love from capturing still images and move to filmmaking with Poetic to capture moving memories. The transition was nature and we work seamlessly together. When I am not working an event with Keith, I can be found at a local rummage sale, searching tirelessly for that hidden treasure, spending time raising our amazing kids Payton & Caleb, or just relaxing and watching a show with the girls, enjoying cheeses and a glass of wine or two. What’s your story? I’d love to hear it.
Always, Jeanette
YOU PERFECTLY CAPTURED EVERY SINGLE IMPORTANT MOMENT AND THE OUTCOME IS BEAUTIFUL.
